In one of our previous webinars (Understanding HFWA and PHEW and Ensuring Compliance), we briefly discussed the immediate impacts of the Healthy Families and Workplaces Act (HWFA or the Act) on Colorado businesses. In short, this new law requires immediate action from all Colorado employers to provide additional qualifying paid sick leave (as an expansion of the FFCRA) and will have additional paid sick leave requirements in the next two years.
